 INTRODUCTION OF STAUBBACH WATERFALL

The Staubbach Falls is a stunning waterfall located near the village of Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss Alps. It is one of the highest and most famous waterfalls in Switzerland, dropping about 297 meters (974 feet) from the mountain face into the valley below. The falls are known for their dramatic beauty, especially when viewed from a distance, where the water appears to cascade down in a fine mist, giving the waterfall a delicate, almost ethereal appearance.

Staubbach Falls is easily accessible from Lauterbrunnen and is one of the highlights of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, which is renowned for its numerous waterfalls. The name "Staubbach" is derived from the German word "Staub", meaning dust, which refers to the waterfall's characteristic fine mist. The falls are particularly striking in the summer months when the water flow is at its peak, but they also provide a picturesque scene during the winter when the water can freeze into stunning icicles.

The waterfall has been an inspiration for many artists, photographers, and travelers, and is also notable for its proximity to other natural attractions in the region, such as the famous Jungfrau, Eiger, and Mönch mountains.

Lake Brienz is a stunning turquoise lake located in the Interlaken region of Switzerland, nestled between the majestic Bernese Alps. Known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery, the lake stretches approximately 14 kilometers in length and 2.8 kilometers in width, covering an area of about 29.8 square kilometers. It is fed primarily by the Aare River, which flows from the nearby Grimsel Pass, as well as other small mountain streams, making its waters remarkably pure and vibrantly colored due to glacial sediments. The lake is named after the charming village of Brienz, which lies on its northeastern shore, while the town of Interlaken is situated at the western end, where Lake Brienz connects with the equally famous Lake Thun.

Surrounded by picturesque Swiss villages, rolling hills, and steep cliffs, Lake Brienz is a popular destination for tourists seeking tranquility, adventure, and natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including scenic boat cruises, kayaking, and paddleboarding on the pristine waters, as well as hiking and cycling along the lake’s perimeter, which offers breathtaking panoramic views.

INTRODUCTION OF THE RHINE FALLS

The Rhine Falls, located near the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland, is the largest waterfall in Europe and one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the country. Formed during the last Ice Age, approximately 14,000 to 17,000 years ago, the waterfall spans a width of about 150 meters and plunges from a height of 23 meters, creating a breathtaking display of raw power and beauty as an average of 600 cubic meters of water per second rushes over the rocks. The falls are part of the Rhine River, one of Europe's longest and most significant waterways, which originates in the Swiss Alps and flows through several countries before reaching the North Sea. The force of the waterfall is particularly impressive during the summer months when the snowmelt from the Alps increases the water volume, creating a thunderous roar and misty spray that can be felt from viewing platforms and boats that take visitors close to the falls.

Surrounding the Rhine Falls are picturesque landscapes, medieval castles, and charming villages that add to the area's rich cultural and historical appeal. Schloss Laufen, a historic castle perched on a rocky outcrop above the falls, offers stunning panoramic views and houses a visitor center with exhibitions detailing the geological history of the falls. Another popular attraction is the Wörth Castle, located on a small island near the waterfall, which has been converted into a restaurant offering scenic dining experiences.

For thrill-seekers, boat tours provide an up-close experience, allowing visitors to navigate through the rushing waters and even reach the iconic Rhine Falls Rock, a small island in the middle of the falls that features a viewing platform for an unparalleled perspective. The surrounding region is also known for its well-maintained walking trails and cycling routes, which provide breathtaking vantage points of the falls and the scenic Rhine River valley. Whether visiting for its natural beauty, historical significance, or adventure opportunities, the Rhine Falls remains one of Switzerland's most awe-inspiring landmarks, attracting tourists from all over the world.

Daytrip in Sekinchan

While my brother was having his convocation at UPSI in Perak, our family went on a trip to Sekinchan, Selangor. Coincidentally, a distant relative of ours lived there and invited us to visit. Our family was excited to go to Sekinchan because we had never seen the area before.

*Pasar Pulang at Sekinchan

At Sekinchan, I was focused on the beauty of the rice fields there. The paddy fields in Sekinchan were breathtakingly beautiful. The vast stretches of green created a calming and peaceful atmosphere, making it feel like we were stepping into a painting of nature's serenity. Because of that, my family took a lot of pictures to save memories and moments together while we were there.

Next, I went to the Paddy Gallery in Sekinchan with my family, and it was such a fun and meaningful trip! We arrived in the morning and were amazed by the beautiful view of the wide green paddy fields. It felt so peaceful and refreshing to be surrounded by nature. The gallery opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and the entrance fee is RM5 for adults and RM3 for children it's really worth it! Inside, we learned about rice farming, from planting the seeds to harvesting. There were lots of farming tools and old machines on display. My parents enjoyed sharing their stories about rice fields from their younger days.

After that, we visited our family's stall, Warung D'Titian, a well-known roadside spot in Sekinchan. Though simple, the food was amazing. They serve various local breakfast dishes, but my favorite was the nasi lemak ayam, fragrant rice, perfectly spicy sambal, and crispy fried chicken. There were also other choices like sambal paru, rendang, and boiled eggs. The prices are affordable and suitable for both locals and visitors. I'm proud it's run by our relatives, and I really hope to return someday. I already miss that nasi lemak!

The last attraction we visited in Sekinchan was Laman Choco, a well-known chocolate shop that sells a variety of crunchy and delicious chocolate treats. It’s famous across Malaysia, especially for its signature product Choco Crispy. They also offer other popular items like choco jar, chochos, and syellops. What made the visit even more special was the cozy café inside. It’s a great place to sit back, relax, and enjoy some sweet snacks with family or friends. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything looked so yummy! Laman Choco is open every day from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. I’m so glad we ended our trip there, it was the perfect sweet ending to a fun day in Sekinchan.

CAFE HUNTING

 CAFE HUNTING IN MIRI

Hello everyone! Today I had the chance to explore one of the most talked-about dessert cafés in Miri Taka Patisserie. I've heard so much about it, so I decided it was finally time to check it out for myself. Located strategically in the city area, this café is known not only for its wide selection of elegant cakes and pastries but also for its calm and cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. The display of desserts is nothing short of stunning, with each item looking like it belongs in a food magazine.

Cake

The moment I walked in, my eyes went straight to the display case. It was filled with the most beautiful and colorful desserts I’ve ever seen.

On the top shelf, there were mini fruit cakes and tarts decorated with fresh slices of strawberries, kiwi, and peaches. Some had whipped cream piled high, while others were topped with tiny chocolate pieces and cherries—super fancy and so tempting.

For food, I went for a flaky croissant topped with a rich caramel-like glaze, a cheesy baked pizza, and the star of the day: a slice of Tiramisu cake. So many thin, soft layers, dusted with cocoa — it tasted as heavenly as it looked. And two cups of Matcha latte.
